Sunflower Festival Information

The Sunflower Festival is an all-day event held in downtown Colby KS on the 4th Saturday of August.  Colby is in Northwest Kansas just off Interstate 70. The event was started by the committee to help bring fun, visitors, and activities to downtown Colby. The Festival events are run on the power of volunteers from local clubs, businesses, schools, and organizations! The goal is that money made from the event goes back into the community. Fun for all...most events do require registration but the kids' events are always free! Make sure to check out the schedule to see all events available!

Most events and activities will require registration online prior to the day of the Sunflower Festival.  Registering at the event with cash or check (if available) will most likely be a higher registration fee. Be sure to check out the Registration page and register prior to the day as most events have a limited amount of space.  Registration fees go to the clubs/groups running the events and/or the Sunflower Festival and are used for community improvement.  Kids events and the street dance are always free.  And it's always free to come down and check everything out!

Food

Food is readily available at the Sunflower Festival.  There is a free-will donation breakfast done by the American Legion in the morning  and then over 10 different Food Trucks and Food Vendors will open their windows to start serving in Fike Park at 11 am until they run out!  Plan on eating while you attend the Sunflower Festival!
